Help! My Toy Isn’t Working – Troubleshooting & Returns
Step 1: Quick Fixes – Try These First!
Before you assume your toy is broken, check these simple things:
Battery-Powered Toys
- Are the batteries the right type? (AA, AAA, watch batteries—check your manual!)
- Have you inserted them the right way? (Double-check those + and - symbols.)
- Did you remove the plastic battery tab? (Some toys ship with a tiny plastic tab blocking power.)
- Are the battery connections clean? (If there’s any dust or corrosion, wipe it gently.)
- Try fresh batteries – even brand-new ones can be duds.
Rechargeable Toys
- Have you charged it long enough? Some toys need at least 30 minutes before they wake up.
- Is the charging cable securely connected? Try wiggling it a bit—some ports are fussy.
- Are you using the right charger? Not all USB cables are the same.
- Does the toy have a charging light? If not, try a different cable or outlet.
Travel Lock & Button Issues
- Hold the power button for 3-5 seconds – many toys come with a travel lock.
- Try a button combo reset (some require pressing multiple buttons at once).
- Check the intensity settings – some toys start on a super-low mode.
